Design Spotlight: The Reunion Project

Whether you purchase a completed home or build with a big box builder, it can be difficult to see your story in the space. Creating that personalized experience with home interior design was the basis for the Reunion Project. We started with a blank slate and added finishes and design elements that turned this house into a home.

Creating Soul in a Blank Slate

New builds offer the gift of a clean canvas, but without expert direction, they can easily feel impersonal, unfinished, or completely opposite of what you had in mind. This home had great bones but needed thoughtful refinement to reflect the lifestyle and personality of the family living there. Our goal wasn’t to reinvent the structure, but to enhance it with purposeful upgrades that brought in warmth, texture, and enduring style.

As an experienced Ponte Vedra interior designer, Jessica was brought in early in the process to help the client select finishes that would elevate their Seven Pines home beyond builder-basic selections. Working closely with the client, she curated a material palette that balanced traditional charm with a contemporary sensibility, infusing each room with a lived-in elegance and feel that can’t be achieved through only standard selections.

That early collaboration allowed us to ensure that foundational elements—flooring, cabinetry, lighting plans—reflected the same vision as the furnishings and styling layers that would follow. With a unified design plan in place, the home could evolve seamlessly from room to room, each space feeling distinct yet connected.

Elevated Entry, Elevated Experience

First impressions matter, and this entryway now sets the tone for the entire home. A sweeping staircase, already a focal point of the space, was elevated with custom iron spindles and warm wood accents. Paired with beautiful wainscotting, this created an instant sense of sophistication and polish.

To ground the expansive foyer, we styled a classic marble pedestal table with a sculptural floral arrangement, adding an organic contrast to the clean architectural lines. An elegant chandelier, selected for its scale and quiet drama, draws the eye upward toward the mixed wood and metal staircase. The overall tone of the space is relaxed luxury. Each element, from lighting to styling, was chosen with intention.

This space is a reflection of Welcome Home Styling’s guiding philosophy that thoughtful details make a home feel personal, not staged. Our approach to interior design is never about chasing trends. Instead, we focus on the client’s taste, because that’s the only thing that never goes out of style.

A Kitchen with Purpose and Poise

The kitchen, often the emotional center of the home, was transformed into a space that’s as functional as it is refined. While the standard layout remained intact, the finishes and styling did all the heavy lifting. We layered in elements that added visual interest without overwhelming the clean lines. That included warm wood shelves, statement lighting, and textural accents.

The oversized island became the heart of the space, outfitted with cane-back stools that echo the neutral palette while introducing tactile contrast. Overhead, we selected matte pendants subtle enough to complement and strong enough to define the space.

A Living Room Designed to Breathe

Adjoining the kitchen, the living room is where form and function merge. The fireplace, now a sculptural focal point, is flanked by custom built-ins with soft arch tops that bring architectural interest and a sense of permanence.

Technology often threatens to disrupt the serenity of a well-designed room, but here, it’s integrated with elegance. The frame television allowed us to maintain a polished aesthetic without sacrificing practicality.

The palette in this room is deliberately hushed: warm creams, layered neutrals, deep greens, and rich woods. A plush sectional grounds the room, while velvet accent chairs in a mossy tone add visual depth. Textiles are luxurious but livable, perfect for both entertaining and everyday lounging.

Rug selection and coffee table styling play a key role here, too, each layer reinforcing the idea that luxury can (and should) feel effortless.

Cohesive Flow and Layered Elegance

Consistency is one of the most overlooked elements in home design, but it’s what ties a home together and gives it that polished, intentional feel. From the hallway sconces to the dining room chandelier, every light fixture in this project was chosen with an eye toward harmony and architectural integrity.

Personalization Through Collaboration

One of the most rewarding aspects of this project was the close relationship formed with the homeowners. They trusted Jessica’s guidance completely, allowing the process to unfold with clarity and ease. That trust led to decisions that felt confident, cohesive, and highly personalized.

Every material, finish, and furnishing was selected with the client’s taste, lifestyle, and long-term needs in mind. Nothing was chosen just to “fill” a space. Instead, we layered intentionally, ensuring each room could evolve with the family while retaining its sense of polish.

Our collaborative process includes detailed mood boards, floor plans, and curated sourcing so that every decision is made with clarity and vision. We guide our clients through decisions with confidence, making the design process enjoyable and inspired, not overwhelming.

As an interior design company rooted in collaboration and craftsmanship, we believe the design process should be as elevated as the final result. That means clear communication, trusted guidance, and refined execution every step of the way.

Why Interior Design Is an Investment in Lifestyle

Interior design isn’t just about making a space look beautiful. It’s about making it feel like home. It’s the difference between a house you live in and one that truly supports how you live. When you work with an interior designer who understands how to translate your vision into tangible details, the transformation goes far beyond aesthetics.

Our design philosophy centers on livable luxury. We want our clients to love not just how their home looks, but how it feels. That means beautiful pieces that can withstand the rhythms of everyday life, rooms that feel effortless to maintain, and layouts that reflect real needs.

At Welcome Home Styling, our work is about more than sourcing beautiful furniture or selecting the perfect paint color. It’s about capturing a feeling. For the Reunion Project, that feeling was elegant ease and a space where every choice feels harmonious, every room feels cohesive, and every day feels just a little more special.

We deliver environments that support family dinners, slow mornings, spontaneous celebrations, and all the quiet moments in between. That’s the power of full-service interior design.

Looking Ahead

As we reflect on the Reunion Project, we’re proud of what it represents. A thoughtfully executed, full-home transformation that feels elevated yet welcoming, functional yet refined. It captures what makes Welcome Home Styling unique: our unwavering dedication to craft, collaboration, and creating interiors that feel both beautiful and personal.

For anyone considering whether now is the time to transform their space, we encourage you to begin the conversation. Whether your home is a new build that needs warmth and intention, or a well-loved space ready for a fresh chapter, our team is ready to help you create something exceptional.
